  Application and Testing Schedules

The Closing Date for the Law Enforcement Examination was March 31, 2008. Notifications have been mailed out and testing will end June 14, 2008.

TESTING PROCEDURES:
Bring your test notification to the testing center along with two forms of identification; one must have your photo on it. If you do not have your notice, arrive at the testing center on your scheduled date and at least 40 minutes prior to your test start time. Report to Room A where the Center Supervisor will review your identification and can admit you to your exam.

NO CELL PHONES at the test center.

If you did not receive your test confirmation notice, please contact the DOP’s Information Center at 609-292-4144 for your test information.

If you have moved, please submit your new address information » Change of Address Form.

EXAMINATION RESULTS
Final results for this examination are tentatively scheduled to be available in September 2008, on this web page. Notices with your results will be mailed in late December, when the pool goes into effect. If you pass the test, your eligibility notice will only include your final average and veteran status because the entry-level law enforcement testing process places candidates who pass the test in an eligible pool. There is no hiring list or rank until a certification is requested by the Appointing Authority for a hiring agency and the certification is issued by the DOP.

VETERAN'S PREFERENCE:
In order to be awarded Veterans’ Preference, the appropriate documentation must be submitted and approved by the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs no later than 8 days prior to the generation of the eligibility list/applicant pool. This is anticipated to occur sometime in December 2008.
